About the Boston Bar Foundation
Founded in 1957, the Boston Bar Foundation has enjoyed a rich history as the official charity of the Boston Bar Association. Over the years, the organization has maintained a strong commitment to the public service projects of the Boston Bar Association, while paving the way for its own innovative programs and initiatives.
Our mission is to promote justice by funding and promoting innovation in the delivery of legal services; facilitating access to legal counsel in underserved communities and supporting the public service projects & pro bono work of the Boston Bar members.
The Boston Bar Foundation serves as a reflection of the Boston legal community’s dedication to improving the lives of the most underserved in our community. Through a robust granting program and projects working with Boston youth, immigrants, the housing court, members of the military & veteran’s community, and so many more, the Boston Bar Foundation continues to be a philanthropic leader with the knowledge and staying power to make a lasting impact in the communities in and around Boston.
