Our Work

The Boston Bar Foundation funds programs that give children access to equal education and life opportunities, provides counseling and legal advice to homeless and at-risk veterans, and arms families facing housing concerns with the legal information to know their rights and fight displacement. In addition, the Boston Bar Foundation funds summer jobs for Boston teens and equips high school students with the financial-literacy tools they need to succeed.

The Boston Bar Foundation:

  • Supports the Pro Bono Work and Public Service Initiatives of Boston Bar Members
  • Provides Funding for Legal Services Organizations, Delivering Access to Justice & Legal Support in the Community
  • Creates Opportunities for Lawyers to Get Involved with Community-Based Projects that Improve Lives and Strengthen Neighborhoods

Here's What Participants Have to Say About Programs Funded by Contributions to the Boston Bar Foundation:

  • Summer Jobs Student: "I have been exposed to brilliant people who have shared their experiences with me and helped me to form an idea of the career path I might want to take."
  • Client of Boston Bar Foundation Grantee Organization: "Thank you for giving my children and me a voice in a world where it is so easy to be drowned out. Thank you for allowing my case to be heard."

The Boston Bar Foundation helps make our justice system more effective, our students more knowledgeable, and the city of Boston a better place in which to live and work.
