John & Abigail Adams Benefit

The John & Abigail Adams Event has been a mainstay of Boston legal’s charity scene for decades, and has played a significant role in bringing access to justice to thousands of individuals and families in need.

Join us as we reimagine the event this year, opening up more of the museum than ever before, and introducing the Adams Benefit After Hours - a late-night dessert and dancing event for young lawyers and law students. There will be a variety of live entertainment throughout the museum, an abundance of gourmet food and beverages and beautiful galleries and exhibits to explore.
  • The evening will begin with a cocktail reception in the renowned Shapiro Family Courtyard, and will feature the presentation of the 2015 BBF Public Service Award to John Hancock for their sustained commitment to public service and improving the lives of Boston youth.
  • Dinner will be served throughout the museum, as guests are invited to dine among masterpieces.  Gourmet cuisine will be served buffet style in the galleries, as guests are invited to sit and enjoy the view or explore the vast array of art on display.
  • Guests will be treated to a variety of entertainment throughout the venue, including live jazz, classical strings, dueling pianos, a contemporary rock/pop violinist and one of Boston's best DJs.

The Boston Bar Foundation is committed to expanding access to legal help for those who need it most. 100% of the proceeds from the John & Abigail Adams Benefit will be used for direct grants to organizations that serve thousands of individuals and families struggling with issues such as homelessness, domestic violence and various forms of injustice.

This year, the BBF will add a special element to the evening's events by introducing "Late Night at the Museum." The BBF cordially invites law students and new lawyers to join the Adams Benefit guests when we reopen the doors from 9PM to midnight for a one of a kind party featuring dessert buffets, cocktails and dancing.
