John & Abigail Adams Benefit
The John & Abigail Adams Benefit is an extraordinary evening of art and music hosted by the Boston Bar Foundation at the Museum of Fine Arts. The annual event is the largest fundraiser of its kind in the Boston area. 100% of Adams Benefit proceeds fund direct grants awarded to local organizations that serve thousands of individuals and families struggling with critical issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, and
various forms of injustice.
The John & Abigail Adams Benefit is a free flowing event, where guests will enjoy full
access to Museum of Fine Arts galleries. Doors open at 6:30PM for our
welcome reception and award ceremony honoring former Massachusetts
Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall. Immediately
following the reception, guests will be able to wander the museum,
enjoying the exhibits and live music, along with gourmet food &
beverage. At 9PM, Adams
Benefit guests will have the opportunity to attend our popular Late
Night at the Museum party, which takes place in the Shapiro
Courtyard and goes through midnight.

Faces of the Adams Benefit
Throughout the year, we collect and publish the stories of the work made possible by the Adams Benefit. Proceeds from the event go to direct grants, supporting legal services organizations in our community and those organizations, in turn, are able to reach thousands of our fellow Bostonians in need of legal advice. These stories are our way of following up with the work we do and letting you and other Adams Benefit guests know that your presence at the event will have a real-world, lasting impact in the lives of individuals and families in the community.
