Each year, the Boston Bar Foundation raises funds through these signature events to support essential charitable activities.
The 2014 John and Abigail Adams Benefit was a great success, raising over $645,000 for legal services and welcoming nearly 900 guests to the Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday, January 25th. We thank all of our sponsors and attendees who made this event a success.
The BBF was honored to welcome Mayor Thomas Menino, who was presented with the Public Service Award for his dedication to the City of Boston during his two decades as Mayor. The majority of the funds raised at the Adams Benefit go towards grants for legal services organizations in the city of Boston, working in such areas as housing and homelessness, veterans affairs and domestic violence.
On March 27th, 2014, the Boston Bar Foundation welcomed over 250 guests for the 5th Annual Casino Night. More than $35,000 will be contributed to the M. Ellen Carpenter Fund to the benefit the BBA Summer Jobs Program. To learn more about the event and the Carpenter Fund, click here. At Casino Night, the offices at 16 Beacon Street are transformed into a two-floor casino, complete with casino games, a silent auction and live entertainment.
This June, the Boston Bar Foundation will be hosting a brand-new fundraiser. Passport to Pairings is an evening celebrating things that are better together, all in support of BBA Public Service.
