Each year, the Boston Bar Foundation raises funds through these signature events to support essential charitable activities.
The 2014 John and Abigail Adams Benefit was a great success, raising over $645,000 for legal services and welcoming nearly 900 guests to the Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday, January 25th.
The BBF was honored to welcome Mayor Thomas Menino, who was presented with the Public Service Award for his dedication to the City of Boston during his two decades as Mayor. The majority of the funds raised at the Adams Benefit go towards grants for legal services organizations in the city of Boston, working in such areas as housing and homelessness, veterans affairs and domestic violence.
On Thursday, March 27th at 6:00 p.m., join the Boston Bar Foundation for our 5th Annual Casino Night. The proceeds of this year's Casino Night will be donated to the BBF Carpenter Fund to the benefit the BBA Summer Jobs program. To learn more about the event and the Carpenter Fund, click here.
At Casino Night, the offices at 16 Beacon Street are transformed into a two-floor casino, complete with casino games, a silent auction and live entertainment. In 2013, over 250 lawyers and their guests attended this event and raised over $40,000 for the BBF.
On June 27th, 2013, the BBF welcomed over 250 young lawyers, summer associates and veteran practitioners to 16 Beacon Street for the 7th annual Justice is Sweet fundraiser. Guests enjoyed chocolate fountains, live jazz and wine tastings, all while helping to raise over $31,000 to support the charitable work of the BBF.
Members of the Boston Bar Foundation Society of Fellows are invited to special events, receptions and exclusive social gatherings throughout the year.
