Boston Bar Association
The Boston Bar Association, the oldest bar association in the United States, is the hub of Boston's legal profession.
The BBA's mission is to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice and serve the community at large. Headquartered in the historic Chester Harding House at 16 Beacon St., the BBA has roughly 10,000 members drawn from private practice, corporations, government agencies, legal aid organizations, the courts and law schools.
The BBA formed the Boston Bar Foundation over fifty years ago. Since that time, the BBF has maintained a long standing commitment to supporting the pro bono and public service projects of the bar, funding legal services organizations in our city and engaging lawyers in the kind of projects that improve the lives of those in our community.
